In the captive combined heat and power project located in the Chifeng Economic Development Zone of Inner Mongolia, Midas Electric manufactured and supplied its MDS9ST Series Static Transfer Switches (STS).The MDS9ST Series is suitable for critical applications that are highly sensitive to power interruptions, including automation systems in the power industry, power supply systems in petrochemical plants, computer and internet data centers, financial data centers, and building automation and security systems in intelligent facilities.Unlike traditional automatic transfer switches, the STS utilizes advanced algorithms and bidirectional thyristor switches with integrated protection systems to continuously monitor the status of two power sources and intelligently select the preferred source.

From June 14 to 16, 2023, the China (Shanghai) International Data Center Industry Exhibition and the 4th Green Data Center Energy Conference were successfully held in Shanghai. With the theme of “Cross-Border Integration, Intelligent Future,” the conference focused on cutting-edge technologies in the data center and energy sectors, exploring future industry development trends. As a manufacturer of high-power transfer systems and power control solutions, Midas Electric showcased a range of independently developed products at the exhibition, including the integrated medium-voltage ATS, ME-iPOWER Load Management System, low-voltage bypass ATS, STS switching cabinets, and the Midas Insight equipment situational awareness system.

Midas Electric has launched the MDS9 Series Automatic Power Transfer System (APTS), specifically designed for multi-source power supply systems to enable transfer control and electrical protection. It provides CB-class transfer with short-circuit and overload protection capabilities.The system’s actuator offers a robust solution in low-voltage switching applications. The GridPro switch series integrates real-time monitoring of operating temperature at key points in the main circuit, contact wear analysis, and real-time status parameter tracking. These status insights can be transmitted to the ME-iPOWER system for comprehensive monitoring of the overall transfer system.The APTS features multiple layers of redundancy and interlocking mechanisms to ensure operational safety, including system logic interlocks, electrical interlocks, and both flexible and rigid mechanical interlocks on the actuating units.Depending on application requirements, the APTS can support various input configurations, including traditional dual power source transfer, "dual inputs with bus-tie" schemes, and three-source transfer setups.

Recently, the list of Shanghai’s “Specialized, Refined, Differentiated, and Innovative” SMEs for 2019 was officially released. Following evaluation by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Midas Electric was honored with the title of “Specialized, Refined, Differentiated, and Innovative” SME of Shanghai for the year 2019–2020.
