CECS Medium-Voltage Transfer Switchgear Standard Drafting Kick-off and Outline Discussion Meeting Held

To promote the healthy and orderly development of the medium-voltage transfer switchgear industry, standardize application requirements, and enhance equipment reliability, the Data Center Working Group of the Information and Communication Professional Committee of the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization (CDCC) has organized industry experts to draft the Medium-Voltage Transfer Switchgear Standard (hereinafter referred to as MV-TSE).

On March 16, 2018, the drafting committee convened the CECS MV-TSE Standard Kick-off and Outline Discussion Meeting at the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design Co., Ltd. Representatives from 20 organizations participated in the meeting, including Midas Electric (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Shanghai DianKe Electric Technology Co., Ltd., Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, and Tongji University Architectural Design and Research Institute.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zhong Jinghua, head of the Data Center Working Group. Mr. Qu Degang, lead author of the MV-TSE, provided a detailed explanation of the drafting outline. Attendees held in-depth discussions on the preliminary draft. Experts unanimously agreed that a rigorous and comprehensive standard is urgently needed to fill the gap in both domestic and international markets regarding MV-TSE.
