On September 14, 2020, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization announced the comprehensive performance evaluation results for the 2020 Shanghai Science and Technology “Little Giant” (including cultivation) enterprises. A total of 170 enterprises, including Midas Electric (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., successfully passed the project acceptance and were officially recognized as Shanghai Science and Technology “Little Giant” (including cultivation) enterprises.

According to the Implementation Measures for the Shanghai Science and Technology Little Giant Program, the program targets technologically advanced enterprises engaged in the R&D, production, operation, and technical (engineering) services of high-tech products aligned with national and municipal industrial development strategies. Eligible companies are required to possess a well-established innovation system and mechanisms, appropriate R&D investment, proprietary intellectual property, a certain economic scale with strong growth potential, good credit standing, and solid financing capabilities. These enterprises are characterized by innovation, scalability, and demonstration value.

The program emphasizes not only the economic scale but also innovation capacity and sustainable development, making it a high-level recognition by the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. Upon completing the development objectives and passing the final evaluation, enterprises in the cultivation phase may receive funding support. Beyond financial incentives, the "Little Giant" title serves as a valuable qualification in bidding processes and competitive business environments.
