Midas Electric Assists Guizhou Mobile (Gui’an) IDC Project with On-Time and High-Quality Delivery

As the first telecommunications operator to establish operations in the Gui’an New District, China Mobile (Guizhou) has invested RMB 2 billion in its Big Data Center, covering a planned area of 275 mu (approximately 45 acres), with a design capacity of 21,000 server racks and a 1000G internet backbone connection. The project is divided into three phases. Phase I, which has already been completed and put into operation, includes a data center building and a modern logistics warehouse, along with supporting facilities such as power and diesel generator rooms, and is planned to host 3,000 racks. Phases II and III are designed to include additional data halls and office support facilities, with expected completion in 2019 and 2020 respectively. The center provides seven major services including IDC storage and cloud computing, along with modern office buildings, a 10,000-square-meter monitoring and dispatch warehouse, and other comprehensive support services. Several enterprises have already deployed their data infrastructure at the center.

In this project, ME supplied 10kV medium-voltage automatic transfer systems for the "China Mobile (Guizhou) Big Data Center Phase II – Guizhou Mobile Gui’an IDC Project (Provincial No.18 Gui’an M&E Engineering Project)" and successfully delivered the equipment in July 2019 as scheduled. Upon delivery, ME provided on-site technical support and responded promptly to project-specific requirements. When the client expressed more advanced functional demands for the switching system, ME swiftly allocated additional materials and deployed senior technical staff to assist with commissioning. The team successfully completed the standalone commissioning in a short period and passed the third-party system integration test on the first attempt, making a significant contribution to the timely completion of the project.

ME’s commitment to integrity, practical service, and prompt response was recognized by Huawei Technologies Service Co., Ltd., which issued a letter of appreciation from the Provincial No.18 Gui’an M&E Engineering Project Department, affirming ME’s capabilities and professional service attitude.
