Midas Electric Participates in IDC Design Code Discussion

Recently, the Discussion Meeting on the Revised Draft of the CECS "Design Code for Power Supply and Distribution in Data Centers", organized by the China Data Center Working Group (CDCC), was held at the Binjiang Xinjing Grand Hotel in Shanghai. More than 20 representatives from the editorial committee and participating organizations attended the meeting. The attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on the completed draft revision. A draft for public comment will be compiled after the meeting and published online to solicit feedback.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Zhong Jinghua, Head of the China Data Center Working Group and Deputy Chief Engineer of the China Electronics Engineering Design Institute. In accordance with Document [2015] No. 044 issued by the China Association for Engineering Construction Standardization, the drafting team conducted extensive research, carefully summarized practical experience, referred to relevant standards, and facilitated comprehensive discussion.

The Design Code for Power Supply and Distribution in Data Centers is based on the design principles of power supply systems for data centers. It specifies different power supply and distribution configurations corresponding to various levels of data centers. From the power source to the distribution endpoints, the code is drafted around the requirements for continuous power supply for data center equipment, and provides standardized guidelines for key points throughout the power system design process.
