Low Voltage Filter Reactor
The MDQR series low voltage filter reactors are designed to be connected in series with the MDQC series low voltage power capacitors. Their purpose is to form a series resonance with steady-state harmonics (3rd, 5th, 7th), limit inrush currents and switching overvoltages, improve system voltage waveforms, increase the system power factor, and protect the capacitors to prevent accidents such as explosions.
Product Features
• Dry-type iron core design
• H-class insulation for excellent heat resistance
• Multiple structural forms: foil winding and wire winding
• Low loss, high linearity, and strong harmonic suppression capability
• Vacuum drying and impregnation process to minimize internal air gaps and reduce noise
• Effectively suppresses inrush current when capacitors are switched on, protecting capacitors and other components
• Equipped with temperature switch for thermal protection
• All exposed parts are insulated and anti-corrosion treated; terminals use tinned copper tube connectors
• The core is made of low-loss cold-rolled silicon steel sheets, and epoxy laminated glass cloth is used for air gap spacing to ensure stable air gap and reduce operational noise
• MDQR with 7% reactance, paired with MDQC, is suitable for systems with significant 5th and 7th harmonics
• MDQR with 14% reactance, paired with MDQC, is suitable for systems with significant 3rd harmonic content
