Midas Electric (ME) has developed Midas Insight, an innovative Full Lifecycle Situational Awareness System (System for Situational Awareness, SfSA) designed for critical equipment and facilities. It represents a cutting-edge application of digital twin technology in the field of power equipment status monitoring and analysis, and marks a significant achievement in the application of digital sensory intelligence for real-time situational awareness at critical infrastructure sites. Much like the division of labor in the human brain, Midas Electric integrates advanced digital sensory intelligence from the field of artificial intelligence into its smart control systems (also known as the “Left System”), complementing them with the Midas Insight situational awareness system (also referred to as the “Right System”). By extracting valuable real-time situational insights from massive volumes of system data, this integration enables intelligent operation and maintenance — including digital online inspection, fault-free operation, and predictive maintenance — to become a practical reality. It analyzes the full lifecycle behavior and operating status of assets, providing real-time situational judgments. By extracting normal characteristics or abnormal trends from dynamic, steady-state, and static data, Digital Prism offers valuable guidance for predictive maintenance. When necessary, it can also use its self-learning module to acquire baseline characteristics from newly connected equipment or systems.
