Shanghai Metro Line 5 and Line 9 Extension Project

Project Background:

Shanghai Metro Line 9 is the sixth metro line built and operated in Shanghai, China. The first phase (from Songjiang New City Station to Guilin Road Station) commenced operation on December 29, 2007. Subsequent phases—including the remaining part of Phase I, Phase II, the remaining part of Phase II, Phase III South Extension, and Phase III East Extension—were opened in succession. As one of the longer metro lines in the city, the Phase III East Extension, located in the Pudong section of Line 9, began service on December 30, 2017, running from Yanggao Middle Road Station to Caolu Station.


Our Supplied Products:

For the Phase III East Extension of Shanghai Metro Line 9, we supplied MDS3 series ATS products. The MDS3 series is designed for terminal switching scenarios, providing stable and compact application solutions. In this metro project, ME ensured the stability of power supply to terminal loads within the Line 9 East Extension.
